I have always loved the color blue, but I have never been able to find a beautiful blue in the floral department. Well, this year I found her. She spoke to me the minute I saw her and said I am the blue you’ve been waiting for. So here she is and I hope you’ll love her as much as I do.

I thought I’d give you a little tutorial on using her in my best selling vase. Yes, I’ve carried this vase for years. It just keeps on selling. It’s such a great addition to any home as well as a gift for someone just getting married or moving in to a new home. Plus, it’s elegance has not been surpassed by any wall vase I’ve ever seen. Yes, simplicity is the key to this vase’s charm.

Start with a foundation for all your flowers. I used a fern bush. It’s not stiff yet it gives your other flowers that you are about to add a foundation that holds them upright.

Next add your next pieces that will give your more delicate flowers more of a base to hold them upright. Plus, it will add color to your creation.

Now you are ready to add the longer more spindly stems. Add them and you will see how beautifully the stems keep their ability to stand straight. Of course, feel free to shape them to a curve that appeals to you.

Aren’t you loving it? Maybe you’re not a blue person, but just imagine the fun you’ll have designing your favorite colors with this vase.

Now for the finishing touches. As with all my designs, you’re going to need some wild looking stems to keep your masterpiece from being stiff and too formal. You can hardly see the bush of branches that I just added, but believe me, it will take your creation to new heights.

Last, but surely not least, add something to bring it to life. I used a cream little bush that was so springy looking. It adds just the right amount of texture. Not too powerful, yet definitely the little touch makes a statement.IMG_2823

There you have it!!!! Your finished product. Hope you enjoyed this little tutorial.

Hope you’ll also enjoy the great event we have planned for you. We can’t wait to help you create a home you’ll love.
