Our History

Memories of Home is a family-run venture that’s been in business for over 22 years!  Joe and I have poured years of effort into creating a business that truly inspires families to take pride and pleasure in making their homes beautiful places to make memories together.  Translated, that means I come up with all the ideas and Joe figures out how to get them done!

We carry custom floral designs, wall hangings, lamps, accessories, jewelry, and have recently even begun adding some furniture to our offerings.  It’s been exciting to watch our business grow over the years, and see how so many of our customers have become our friends!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is your shop open all the time?

Here is how we operate our business: My business is located in a barn behind our house.  Since we have no drive-by traffic we are not highly visible.  We have found that we accomplish more and our sales are greater, we work more efficiently as well as hold our costs down by operating on an “event” basis.  When I say “event” I mean we are open for a specified dates and times.    You may be notified of the events by signing up for our emails.  Or, you may check our website for events and information.

What products do you carry in your store?

Many home decor items, as well as some clothing items.  We carry lamps, artwork, some furniture, floral containers, etc.  Every year we go to market we bring home new items.  Who knows what we will add from year to year….

What services do you offer?

We offer Interior Decorating Services as well as Window Treatment Design.  Our services provide consults for those who feel challenged in the interior decorating touches.  We love working with clients that are working towards a goal, but need guidance in getting to the desired end.  We specialize in custom made floral design, as well as window treatment design. We can help you achieve the “look” you desire, by giving you advice and providing products that will help you achieve your goals.

Should you desire these services, simply email me, and we can set up an appointment and discuss the fee as well as other pertinent information.

How can I find your business?

Remember,  our shop is located behind my home, and is in my red barn farthest to the south.  Here is a map.

Can I make an appointment to visit at another time?  I would like to bring a group of women.  Can we do that by special appointment?

The answer is yes.  But, I do need to qualify that answer.  If we are changing seasons, going to trade shows, etc. we may not be able to meet at the time you want.  Especially, when we are changing the seasons in the shop.  We want to have the shop ready for you and not look like a construction zone.  Please be patient with us.  We want to make your trip out here special.
